Recovery Coach (Specialist Support Worker ) Part time (32 hours per week) This is a Fixed term contract till 31st March 2022

This post is to join our existing Pathways team, who work with a diverse population of the community.

In order to support the migrant population towards employment we recognise that support needs will be holistic in nature. Therefore the programme through Pathways will encompass all areas of life and be person centred. To this end, all individuals will complete a comprehensive assessment (Wellness Planning) with the Recovery Coach (to be appointed). They will serve as the bridge between Pathways, wider KAP services and wider community, to ensure person centred holistic recovery pathways are being provided.

The Recovery Coach will support individuals to set attainable goals for their recovery from homelessness/substance misuse/unemployment. With the support of the Employment Advisor, the Recovery coach will provide advocacy, weekly wellbeing checks, signposting to KAP services and other community based services that can support positive outcomes. Pathways courses will be designed and facilitated in response to the needs and desires of this population. The Recovery Coach will refer individuals into the Pathways programme according to individual needs and will also be present at courses to encourage involvement in a positive community. Outreach will also be provided for appointments/needs as they arise that impact on wellbeing/recovery.

The ideal person will be enthusiastic, extremely well organized and passionate about working in the recovery field.
